My daughters have had tutoring since 2018 from Target Tutoring where they have progressed over the years with excellent tutoring and guidance from Janet. Term by term, I have seen my daughters achieve great results from Janet's teaching methods and also her attention to detail has played an important role in their progression. This is evident from Janet providing detailed scheduled reports that have always been clear and spot on. Clearly, Janet has been able to identify my childrens' weaknesses and has been able to tackle these issues inline with the schools' curriculum. Also, from the feedback from my daughters, I have seen them being more and more open to Janet's structured teaching techniques over the years, earning the trust of my daughters that has seen an incredible improvement in their attitude, both having the confidence to be able to speak out and enjoy their previous Junior School group discussions. My wife and I engaged Janet's Target Tutoring services for our daughter commencing from January 2020. The primary aim was to prepare her for entrance exams for 3 independent schools to be taken in January 2021 but also to supplement her ongoing Year 5 education as well. My daughter enjoyed the sessions immensely and these have helped her both develop her academic abilities across the board and grow in confidence as a result. Janet works very well in creating a team environment in her tutoring, as my daughter felt supported throughout her sessions. We also found Janet to be excellent at communicating throughout the disruption wrought by the pandemic, keeping us updated and also working with children, when she was able to, to the safest possible environment. Outside of these periods of disruption, Janet was adept at concentrating on key areas given sessions were lost to lockdown and also having a regular dialogue (being very responsive on email) as to the aims and objectives of sessions. My daughter found the expert guidance on entrance exam preparation to be especially valuable, particularly with regards to number codes and English comprehension, which feature very strongly in most entrance exams and can often prove challenging to children My daughter's ability to solve number code puzzles logically and quickly is truly impressive. In terms of Janet's tutoring, the proof is in the pudding, as they say: my daughter received offers from all 3 schools and commences her secondary education at her first choice school in September 2021.
